Fleet

The boats.

Twelve vessels from twenty-two feet to a hundred and twenty-two. Every charter runs with a USCG licensed captain.

Showing 6 of 6 boats

We keep a real fleet, not a broker list. Every boat we send you out on is one we know top to bottom. We have run each of them ourselves. That means honest answers about which boat fits your day, not a sales pitch for whatever is open.

Below is how the fleet breaks down and how to pick the right boat.

How To Pick A Boat

Three things drive the choice.

01

Group Size

The most important number. Boats have two capacity limits. There is a legal number set by the Coast Guard and there is a comfort number set by common sense. More on that below.

02

Type Of Day

A sunset cruise for six is a very different boat than a sandbar day for 20. A fishing trip needs a very different setup than a bachelorette party. Tell us the vibe and the boat almost picks itself.

03

Budget

Boats range from a few hundred dollars an hour for a small day boat up to full day rates in the five figures for the big event yachts. We share pricing up front, no games. If a boat is out of range, we say so and suggest a better fit.

Fleet Categories

01

Day Boats (22 to 32 feet)

Best for two to six guests. Perfect for a quick two or three hour trip. Great for a first time charter, a quiet cruise around Sag Harbor Bay, or a hop over to Shelter Island for lunch. Lower cost, lower key. Most of these are center consoles or bowriders with a cooler, a bimini top for shade, and a swim ladder.

02

Sport Yachts (40 to 55 feet)

The workhorse of our fleet. Sleeps two or three couples, day trips up to 12 guests. Enclosed cabin with a head, bigger swim platform, a real galley for snacks and drinks, and quiet cruising speed. This is the sweet spot for a full day sandbar trip or a scenic run out to Montauk.

03

Event Yachts (70 to 122 feet)

For groups of 20 to 85. Weddings, corporate events, milestone birthdays, and bachelor or bachelorette weekends. Full crew, real bar service, sound system, seating for the whole group, and multiple decks. Our 122 foot flagship is USCG T boat inspected, which is what allows us to legally carry more than 12 guests.

04

Catamarans

Wider beam means a more stable ride and a huge swim platform. Great for kids, older guests, and anyone who does not love the roll of a monohull. Perfect for sandbar anchor ups.

05

Sailboats

For guests who want a slower, quieter afternoon. Peconic Bay and Gardiners Bay are made for sailing. We have both a 38 foot cruiser and a classic 50 foot sloop in the fleet.

06

Watersports Boats

Center consoles built for tow sports and fishing. Great for a morning of wakesurfing, tubing with the kids, or a striper trip out of Montauk. These pair well with our Seabob and jet ski add ons.

Capacity Rules You Should Know

This trips up a lot of first time renters, so here is the plain version.

01

The USCG Six Pack Rule

Any boat under a certain size can only carry six paying passengers, no matter how big it looks. This is called a six pack charter. Almost every private day charter in the Hamptons runs under this rule.

02

T Boat Inspected Vessels

To carry more than six passengers legally, a boat has to pass a much stricter Coast Guard inspection. These are called T boats or inspected vessels. We keep a few in the fleet so we can serve groups up to 85.

03

Comfort Capacity

Legal capacity is not the same as comfy capacity. A boat rated for 12 guests can feel packed at 10 if everyone wants to sit down for lunch. When we quote a boat, we tell you both numbers so you can plan.

Add Ons

Every charter can be built up with extras.

  • Stewardess for service, setup, and cleanup
  • Local catering from Sag Harbor and East Hampton kitchens
  • Seabobs, jet skis, tubes, paddleboards, and wakesurf boards
  • Overnight stays on the bigger boats
  • Fishing gear and bait for offshore or bay trips
  • Custom playlists and floral setups for special occasions

Tell us what you want when you text. If we can build it, we will.

Frequently asked questions

What is the biggest boat in your fleet?+

Our 122 foot event yacht is the flagship. It carries up to 85 guests and is fully USCG inspected. It is popular for weddings, corporate outings, and big birthday parties out of Sag Harbor.

Can I charter more than one boat at a time for a big group?+

Yes. For groups over 40, we often run two or three boats together and raft up at the sandbar or a swim spot. It works well for weddings and corporate days. Email us with the group size and we will put together a plan.

Do all your boats have bathrooms?+

Every boat 32 feet and up has a head. Some of our smaller day boats do not. If you have kids on board or you are running a long trip, we will steer you toward a boat with a bathroom.

Can I bring a dog on the charter?+

On many of our day boats and sport yachts, yes. On the event yachts, usually no. Tell us when you book so we can pick a dog friendly boat and bring a bowl of water for your pup.

How fast do these boats go?+

Cruising speed on most of our sport yachts is 22 to 28 knots. The day boats run a bit faster. Sailboats and catamarans cruise slower, around 6 to 10 knots. Speed matters for how far you can go in a day, so we build that into your plan.
