Fireworks Cruise
The best seat on the East End for the Fourth.
Fireworks on the water is a specific pleasure. We run charters for Sag Harbor, Grucci in Southampton, Boys and Girls Club, and the Fourth of July shows across the East End. Boarding is early to catch the light, dinner service on the way to the anchorage, and we hold the best line of sight we can find. Group sizes ten to fifty. Reserve early. These sell out by May.
Sample day
- 6:30 pmBoarding. Dinner service begins.

Recommended boats
Fireworks from the water are not even close to fireworks from a lawn chair. No parking. No crowds. No sitting behind a tall guy. Just open sky, calm bay, and the show reflecting off the water. A Hamptons fireworks cruise on the 4th of July is one of those bucket list nights.
We are Captains Carter and Sean. We run fireworks trips out of Sag Harbor every 4th of July and for other big fireworks nights in the Hamptons. We know the best spots to anchor for the show. We book up fast, so early planning matters.
What makes a great fireworks night on the water
Three things make a great fireworks cruise. The right anchoring spot. The right timing. And the right vibe on the boat.
The anchor spot is the whole game. Some spots in the Hamptons get you two shows at once. Others put you close to a single big show. We know the local schedule and we plan the route around it.
Timing matters because the harbor gets busy on the 4th. We leave early enough to grab a good spot without stress. Once we are anchored, we can relax, eat, drink, and wait for the show.
Vibe is up to you. Some groups want a full party with a big playlist. Others want quiet, a nice dinner, and just the show. Both work great.

Best boats for a fireworks cruise
Group size and comfort drive the choice.
- 2 to 6 friends: A mid size day boat with a good stereo. Simple and fun.
- 6 to 20 friends: A larger yacht with a full deck, shade, and a head on board. The most booked option.
- 20 to 85 guests: Our 122 ft event yacht. Full bar, catering setup, and lots of deck space to watch the show.
We can also run two boats side by side if you have a big group split across families or friend circles.
What to bring and wear
Pack for a warm summer night that gets cool after sunset.
- Layers. A light jacket for after dark.
- Swimsuits if you want to swim before the show.
- Bug spray. Marsh mosquitoes can find you at anchor.
- Sunglasses for the ride out.
- A phone charger. You will use your camera a lot.
- Cash for tips.
- American flag gear if that is your thing. Most 4th groups go for it.
Bring cans and pouches, not glass. We supply ice and cups.
Add-ons that pair well with a fireworks cruise
The right add-ons turn a good night into a great one.
- Catering: A full dinner on the boat from a top Hamptons kitchen. Lobster rolls, burgers, or a real sit down meal.
- Bar package: Pre-stocked with beer, wine, and cocktails so no one runs dry mid show.
- Stewardess: A crew member to plate food and pour drinks.
- Photographer: A pro to shoot the sunset, the show, and the group.
- Flowers or decor: For a birthday or an anniversary that lands on the 4th.

Booking tips
- Book 3 to 6 months out for the 4th of July. This is our most in demand night of the year.
- The bigger the boat, the earlier it books. If you need our 122 ft yacht, book by winter.
- Tell us your headcount early. The right boat books up quick.
- Bundle catering and bar in the first quote. It saves back and forth.
- Ask about non 4th fireworks dates in the Hamptons. Some towns run other shows through the summer.

Frequently asked questions
How early should we book?+
For the 4th of July, book 3 to 6 months out. For other fireworks nights, 4 to 8 weeks is usually fine.
Where do we watch from?+
We anchor in a spot that gives you the best view of the local show. We can sometimes catch two shows in one night from the right anchor point.
Do you serve food and drinks?+
You can bring your own, or we can add catering and a bar package. Most groups add both for the 4th.
What if it rains on the 4th?+
Fireworks shows and boat trips both depend on weather. If the show is canceled or moved, we work with you on a plan.
Can we swim before the show?+
Yes. We usually anchor early enough for a swim at sunset before we move to the fireworks spot.
